Fadama threatens sanction against defaulters of MoU

The National Coordinator, FADAMA III Additional Financing(AF)
programme, Mr. Tayo Adewumi has threatened to sanction any state where there
isdefault of Menoranda of understanding (MoUs) or a breach of guidelines, by
withholding the disbursement meant for such state. The threat was issued at a technical
meeting with agro-dealers, off-takers and officials in-charge of the programme
from all participating states, held in Abuja.
‘Chief Audu Ogbeh should please tender his letter of resignation and leave the office immediately and let’s have an active minister or the President take over immediately’

Nigerian yam: US accepts, UK rejects

Contrary to
a news item making the rounds in the media that all the yams exported by
Nigeria recently were rejected, the Association of Nigerian Yam Farmers,
Processors and Marketers has denied the allegation, describing the reports as
sheer mischief by misguided elements just as Executive Director of Admirer
Environmental Care, Kaduna, Mr. Shedrack Madlion asked the minister, Chief Audu
Ogbeh to resign for bungling the initiative. The association reacted through
its president, Prof Simeon V. Irtowange after a meeting held at Federal
Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment in Abuja.

Development Bank (AfDB) and the Brazil-Africa Institute (BAI) have
launched the Youth Technical Training Program (YTTP) - an initiative
that aims to train young African professionals in research and
