The National President, Federation of Agricultural Commodity
Association of Nigeria (FACAN) Dr. Victor Iyama has insisted that more
political support priority must be given to Agriculture by the Nigeria
Government in her pursuit of economic repositioning from crude oil to multi
facets economy as the sector could earn three hundred thousand dollars to the
country every month.

commendation while also there is need for assessment evaluation of all the activities in crops, fisheries, animals and
mechanization for proper statistical record of impact to the nation’s economy
in the last few years before now. This action would not be out of place for

The
Coordinating Director of Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), Dr.
Vincent Isegbe has cleared the improperly checked news on the ban placed on the
nation’s agricultural produce by European Union saying the true position was
that in less than six months from now the one year suspension placed on beans
may be lifted as all other produce are not on any sanction as being reported by
many media.
Kano hosts next National Council meeting on Agricultural, year 2016 policies for approval
