I am passionate to refocus our College says Acting Provost

The new Acting Provost, Federal College of Agriculture, Moor plantation, Ibadan Dr. (Mrs) Elizatheth Oluwakemi Augustus has assured both the students and workers that her leadership is determined to reposition the Institute back to its core mandate where middle man power are groomed for commercial agricultural entrepreneurship and food security.

The Acting Provost made this promise during a chat with Food Farm News in her office last week.

Dr. Augustus said that series of meetings to achieve this goal have commenced since her assumption saying that the last four years in the College had really retrogressed students’ intake into the Institute drastically, coupled acrimony among the workers who had in the past been working together as friends.

She assured the college of her determination to ensure more accreditations for more courses and restoration of peace saying ‘’ I am ready to bring to bear my thirty years working experience to redirect the College to achieve the Federal Government’s dream  of its establishment almost 100 years ago, with each student having his or her practical plot for agricultural practices and at the same time ensure that the staff are working together in peace towards achieving the laudable  agribusiness in Nigeria. The land for the practical will be well deplored to achieve this as it is part of criteria for accreditation’’

Augustus stressed that the impact of this positive repositioning has already started to yield dividend as the college was able to accredit some of its courses for the last graduating students adding this was an achievement that has led to increase in the number of new intakes for this new session.
