Guinness Nigeria over the last decade has consistently increased its use of local raw materials in the manufacturing of its various iconic brands such as Malta Guinness. Currently, the local raw material component in all our brands manufactured in Nigeria is over 80% with plans to grow this to 95% by the year 2022.
Cereal crops cultivated in Nigeria contribute an estimated 64% and actively involves several smallholder farmers and stakeholders in the agriculture value chain. Some of our respective stakeholder engagements in this regard are as follows:

1.Direct partnerships with 5,000 smallholder farmers across eight (8) States,

2. Indirect partnerships with an estimated 20,000 smallholder farmers,

3.Partnerships with several mid-level and multinational players within the respective value chains.
The Guinness Nigeria local raw material sourcing programme has led to an increase in economic activities specifically local job creation while also contributing to the wellbeing and prosperity of several partner companies operating in Nigeria. Guinness Nigeria is pleased to be contributing to the GDP of the country through this programme and many other similar schemes.
