Institute of Agriculture (IAR) Bt cowpea is about to be officially released for
farmers in Nigeria, an expert in crops Genetically Modified Organism (GMO), Mr.
Okon Unung has described those who are opposed to it as lacking prerequisite
knowledge about plant breeding, saying one should endeavour to ask for their
background whenever they raise the issue.

Guinness Nigeria over the last decade has consistently increased its use of local raw materials in the manufacturing of its various iconic brands such as Malta Guinness. Currently, the local raw material component in all our brands manufactured in Nigeria is over 80% with plans to grow this to 95% by the year 2022.
