Second phase of Belarus Tractors Arrived Nigeria * FG signs new MOU

 

The second phase of the Belarus tractors, as promised by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT), may have started arriving in Nigeria, Food Farm News confirmed.

Food Farm News visit to the site of the last Monday launched tractors into farming activities confirmed the arrival of new set arriving in trailers to fulfill the promise of President Tinubu that said more modern agricultural equipment would be injected to achieve sustainable food security.

Eyewitnesses also in the area confirmed seeing multiple truckloads of tractors over the past few days arriving to add to the already 2000 tractors on ground to achieve agric mechanization in Nigeria.

The Belarus tractors initiative is aimed at enhancing mechanized farming across Nigeria, and it has begun with the delivery of the first phase last year with 2000 tractors and other equipment.

The second batch marks a significant step forward, boosting agricultural productivity and supporting local farmers with modern tools.

In another development, the FG during the weekend at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, has re-signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Brazilian Government to enhance cooperation in the field of agriculture and livestock.

In a press release issued by the FMAFS Director of Planning, Ibrahim Tanimu, it was said that the MOU will provide a strategic framework for collaboration in critical areas such as technology transfer, research in livestock production, agricbusinesses, and sustainable food systems.
