Oni of Ife encourages on local consumption to create employment

His royal Highness, Ooni of Ife Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi has emphasized on the need for Nigerians leaders to give local government a priority as a way of addressing youth employment and empowerment.

The Yoruba Royal Highness  at the 8th Bola Tinubu colloquium held at Abuja said the rate of youths unemployment in the country should be a thing of great concern especially to all the leaders thereby proffering local consumption of our products by all and sundry  to check billions of dollar being expended on both food and other items that can be locally produced. 

According to him “I want to enjoin every one of us here to ask yourself from the cloth, shoes and cars we drive, how many are produced in Nigeria. As long as we don’t cultivate the act of consuming our local food production and others so as to encourage our youth in getting jobs and reduce restiveness for the national development”
