SMEDAN, Forum of MSME parley on national economic development

The new Director General (DG), Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SEDAN), Mr. Wale Fasanya has promised a working relationship that will impact economically on business groups under the auspices,  Forum of Micro ,Small & Medium Enterprise Business Membership Organization of Nigeria (MSME) led by its president, Alhaji  Garba Ibrahim Gusau. 

Mr. Wale Fasanya said this yesterday during a courtesy visit of MSME Forum who has come to discuss workable business relationship that would further complement and enhance the role of  each other in the growth of Nigeria economy through an informed private Business Membership Organizations (BMOs).


Mr. Fasanyi promised to ensure a very mutual business relationship that would impact on economic growth of the entire nation as soon as the two parties have been able to fine tune all salient areas of workability in a formalised way with a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), saying this must be done as soon as possible for effective operation between the two organizations.

The new DG also promised that a team of experts from his organization would be constituted to meet with MSME Forum towards finalizing the MOU as soon as possible so as to ensure a sustainable working document for future purposes, adding that SMEDAN would be ready to participate in the inauguration program of his visitor  with other promises like capacity building through training of the BMOs  and  gift of computer laptops for modern day business practices.



Earlier, the President of the MSME Forum, Alhaji Garba Ibrahim Gusau has suggested the need for the two parties to work together in such a way to complement the effort of each other in a very mutual ways towards a better economic development at all the corners of the country  for wealth and more jobs creation, adding that his organization has also reached out to many other organizations who had indicated interest as he solicited  support for the development of a five year strategic plan for the private sector towards a scientific  measurable direction with building of appropriate website and digitization of the members’ detail at a glance.

Alhaji however congratulated the DG for his deserved appointment, saying that MSME Forum has come to give support  that would assist him in further achieving his mandate towards a virile economic development of the small and medium enterprises in Nigeria across the states, thereby asking for  full support and participation in the inauguration slated for September 22, 2022.






Speaking, the chairman, technical committee, MSME Forum, Mr.  Atta Joseph expatiated on the need for strategic five year plan, saying it was meant to translate into reality government economic policies on MSME towards proactive business activities with projection of production in agricultural produce targeted to increase within a period of time in each crop.

Attah added that the 5 year plan also is to achieve a profit optimization every year with evaluation and monitoring with scientific method,  saying this is what we intend to achieve with the BMOs under our MSME forum.
