Agric Perm Sec constitutes committee for 45th NCARD meeting in Jos



The Permanent Secretary (PS), Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ( FMARD), Dr. Ernest Umakhihe has constituted a local organizing committee (LOC) charged with the responsibility to ensure a successful organization of the 45th Regular Meeting of the National Council on Agriculture and Rural Development (NCARD) slated to hold in Jos, Plateau State between September 13-17 at Rayfield Hotel, Jos. 

Dr. Ernest Umakhihe  yesterday in a press release issued yesterday tasked the members of the group to ensure that everything is properly put in place that would give a successful turn out with an instruction to also ensure to track the implementation of the previous years' resolutions as feed back being a major priority for the meeting.

Other terms of reference  as stated in the release are" put in place necessary arrangements to facilitate successful conduct of the council meeting, provide adequate and efficient secretariat to guarantee smooth conduct and accurate documentation of all proceedings, adequate supply and distribution of conference materials, efficient conduct of the event, prepare and submit to management progress reports on activities of the committee after the conduct of the event"

Also the press release stated adequate publicity for the event and full active participation of stakeholders among others.

The statement had the Director, planning and policy coordination department, Mr. Ibrahim Bello thanked the PS for his support towards the committee inauguration, and pledged that his committee would work assiduously to achieve the set objectives.
