AFAN Oyo state election comes up September

The proper election into the executive positions of the Oyo state All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has been scheduled to come up sometimes in September, 2019 according to the Chairman of the chapter Engr. Ayinla Olumide who also congratulated the new commissioner of agriculture, Hon. Muyiwa Ejekunle on behalf of all other members.

Speaking at the Molete, Oke Ado office of the association to Food Farm News, Engr. Olumide said that the earlier rumoured election of the chapter was never recognised by the association at the national level saying the normal election would be held in the next two weeks for the executive positions in the state.

He said that the new election would come up around September in about two weeks’ time adding that the earlier rumoured election was never recognised by the association as the national president Arch. Ibrahim Kabiru had even ordered one of the contestants of cancelled election to write a letter of apology which he said has been wrongly written.

Meanwhile the chairman on behalf of the association has congratulated the new commissioner of agriculture and rural development, Oyo state, Hon. Jacob Ojekunle which was among the new executives appointed by Governor Seye Makinde, saying the appointment was a round peg in round hole.

He added that ‘’ the entire association prays that God will grant you a successful tenure in the office. E o se aseyori o’’.
