The Federal Government through its ministry of agriculture will be embarking on an animal census for the purpose of local domestication according to her spokesperson, Prof. Funso Shoniya.
He said the project will soon commence nationwide so as to ascertain the actual population of local animals including snail and aquatic which are sources of revenue generation in the face of dwindling oil price in the world market.. He enjoined for the cooperation of farmers to all the enumerators that will be visiting them.
