How Federal Agric PS save a life at council meeting

The 47th meeting of the National Council on Agriculture and Food Security (NCAFS ), held recently in Kaduna, narrowly escaped a destruction that could have happened if the Permanent Secretary (PS), Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security ( FMAFS), Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi had not quickly swung into safety action having noticed what the woman reading a memo was passing through a serious health challenge.

The incident occurred during the presentation of a memo by a female staff member ( name withheld) from the Pest Control Department, FMAFS  who suddenly developed  health challenges while addressing the council members.

The PS was commended for being fast to quickly realize that the woman reading the memo may have been having serious health challenges as his quick intervention had saved an unpalatable situation that may have ensued, and obstruct the meeting continuity.

This action of the PS threw every other director into safety action just as health workers stationed at the meeting venue final intervention also finally stabilized the woman.

Council members commended the professionalism and responsiveness demonstrated by the PS with his directors, and the medical team.

Checks on the woman confirmed that she is recovering well.
