The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS) has said that farmers across the country will soon access the imported tractors by the government. An authoritative source disclosed to FoodFarmNews.

The tractors' distribution according to the source who wants his name not mentioned was part of the government initiative to boost mechanized farming towards sustainable food and agricultural productivity in the country.

However, several farmers have expressed frustration over the prolonged delay in the distribution of the equipment. Many fear that if the tractors are not delivered promptly, they may miss the peak of the rainy season, which is critical for cultivation.

“We have been waiting for months”, one farmer lamented. “If these tractors don’t arrive in time, the purpose may be defeated. The season won’t wait for bureaucracy.”

Also, another reliable source who wanted to be anonymous confirmed to us that a press conference will soon be held to provide clarity on the distribution process and timeline.

“The Ministry is aware of the farmers’ concerns” the source said. “Plans are in place to call a press briefing soon to explain the situation and provide updates.”

Farmers across the country are anxious to get the tractors and other imported equipment to food productivity thereby addressing insufficiency presently making the prices of produce unstable.
