The Federal Government through the National Cocoa Production Programme has released 5,000 improved Cocoa seedlings to Adamawa Government for distribution to farmers.

Mr Ilyasu Mu'azu, the state desk officer, National Cocoa Production Programme made this known  on Tuesday in Yola.

Mu'azu said that the development was part of the Federal Government economic diversification programme.
"After nursing the 5,000 improved seedlings for the next four months at the National Cocoa Production Centre in Toungo Local Government Area.

"Government will then sell it out to the farmers at subsidised cost to support them to produce more," Mu'azu said.
