FAO needs more fund to tackle Fall Armyworm

In view of the transboundary disease called Armyworm disease, the FAO is soliciting for more fund to combat the its spread through the  use of farmers’ guide just as the organization is working closely with a wide range of countries around the world that have formally requested the its assistance to tapping into financing from the Green Climate Fund. The Executive Director, National Animal Production Research Institute (NAPRI) Prof. C.A.M Lakpini has said that the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh was surprised to learn the imported grasses by the ministry were available in the country saying he has instructed his centre to embark on establishing a pasture farm in three states of the federation for the purposes of generating feeds for animals with other facilities.
