Food Safety: Stakeholders demand pesticide policy, more budget for organic inputs


 The agricultural stakeholders have asked the Federal Government (FG) to speed up policy on pesticide control on crop production just as they wanted more budget funding for organic inputs towards healthy foods for consumption and export.

60,000 Northern farmers benefit in FG- ATAPS-1 inputs subsidy

 


The Federal Government (FG) has commenced the electronic distribution of subsidized agricultural inputs to 600,000 farmers in five different states of the north, under the supervision and funding by the Agricultural Transformation Agenda Program Phase One (ATASP-1).
