Gombe farmers get FG inputs to mitigate covid-19, flood disaster

The Federal Government (FG) through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) has distributed several inputs to small scale farmers in Gombe state so as to mitigate the impact of covid-19 pandemic of last year cum the flood negative impact on food security.

This was contained in press release made available to journalists from the office of director information, FMARD.

FG plans to release imported maize into market

There are great indications that the Federal Government (FG) will soon release about 262,000 metric tons of maize into the market to reduce the current price of N155, 000 per ton to One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira (120,000.00). Mr. Yahaya Hussaini, a director of Planning, research and statistics at ARDS said this during a visit to under-study Ogun state agricultural programme last week at Abeokuta.
