The Federal Government has been advised to proactively
encourage the practice of organic farming to checkmate agricultural produce

The Western Cape Department of Agriculture is tracking several incidences of a pest affecting tomato crops.
Alan Winde,
Minister of Economic Opportunities, said the tomato leaf miner (Tuta
Absoluta), a species of moth which attacks tomato crops, had now been
detected in the Western Cape, despite attempts to halt its progress in
other provinces.

economic growth.

The Nigerian AgricBusiness Group Associates (NABG) yesterday held its 2nd Annual General Meeting featuring AGRA, MIRA, USAID and other relevant association to chart a way forward as regards to the welfare of the Nigerian farmers. The meeting which held in Abuja aimed at unifying the voices of agriculture and agribusiness in Nigeria, which in furtherance is to to hold governments feet to investing more in the sector and not investment promises and commitments alone.
